We have set ourselves high quality goals. Social responsibility, however, also forms an important part of our company guidelines. The most important aspect is responsibility
- as an employer
We respect and adhere to internationally recognised human rights and we of course expect the same from our business partners. Furthermore, we protect the equality of opportunity of our employees regardless of their skin colour, race, gender, age, nationality, social background, disability and sexual orientation. For us, disabled people are people with equal rights in society and in the world of business. Their promotion and integration into the company as well as respectful cooperation are important principles of our company culture. Furthermore, Ditsch opposes all exploitative working conditions such as child labour, forced labour and other forms of exploitation.
As an expression of their responsibility to their employees, Ditsch employees are granted discount for factory sales, subsidised lunch in the company’s own bistro and access to Ditsch’s own health management (physiotherapy courses, fruit baskets in the winter, first aid and safety courses). The company also gives out birthday and Christmas presents, pays for an annual company excursion as well as regular company celebrations and the annual end-of-year party.
- as a production company
It is a fundamental concern of Ditsch to protect the environment for today’s generation and for future generations. Dealing with resources in a sustainable way forms the basis of all our actions, e.g. in the design of our production sites. In this spirit, we have been part of the “Ökoprofit” project of the federal state capital of Mainz since 2003. This project deals with ecologically significant activities that help save costs.
By combining ecology and economy in the best possible way, resources will be employed in a more efficient, cost-saving and environmentally friendly way in order to consistently improve your own awareness of environmental issues.
At Ditsch, this in particular means that we recover waste heat and use it for water and space heating. We also collect rainwater for irrigation.
- as a supporter of social and sports projects
The Austrian female writer Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach once said:
“You must share your happiness in order to multiply it!”
That’s why we at Ditsch want to pass on some of our success. With annual 5-figure donations, Brezelbäckerei Ditsch GmbH supports cancer research and heart therapy projects, as well as institutions for the preservation of cultural monuments and various sports clubs.
As you can see: Ditsch is serious about social responsibility!
